|
NGMS is developing for the U.S. Air Force Cryptologic Systems Group in San Antonio, the concept for an Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Telemetry, Tracking and Control (TT&C) Information Assurance (IA) system. This will incorporate crypto modernization features using IP-based TT&C operations for future space applications. Lead Best Material Approach Analysis (BMAA) and Preferred System Concept Analysis (PSCA) to recommend Increment 2 AVE solution. These efforts include gathering info about storage and processing requirements and projecting and assessing which technologies will meet those requirements. This information will then be used to identify potential solutions, eval criteria, and recommend a preferred system concept. The position will lead efforts to identify risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies for potential solutions. The results of the two studies will be submitted as written reports to the customer. Additionally, the position will support other tasks including CONOPS, architecture, and requirements development.
Experience in the following areas is required:
- Experienced technical writer
- Experienced in leading other systems engineers
- 2+ years experience in leading engineering analysis
- Experienced in conducting analysis (trade studies, AoA, BMAA, or PSCA)
- Knowledgeable about broad SE concepts and principles
- Knowledgeable of risk mgt processes
- 10 years experience, of which a minimum of 5 years must involve the analysis, development or deployment of advanced technologies within a multidisciplinary systems environment
- BS in engineering, physics, science or related technical discipline; advanced degree desirable
- Experience in the desig/architecture for space and ground system crypto devices
- Active DoD Secret clearance, TS desired
Experience in the following areas is an asset:
- Lead engineer in space and/or crypto ops
- Current cryptography design in TT&C ops
- Current cryptography research for space environment
- Overarching DoD architectures and stds (e.g. GIG, End Information Assurance Unit (EIAU) management standards, Information Assurance Component (IAC) management standards, Electronic Key Management System (EKMS), and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI))
- Technologies like High Assurance IP Encryption (HAIPE), PKI, and IPv6 security
- Electronics equipment enabling technologies (e.g. ASICs, FPGAs, innovative memory technologies, etc.)
- Familiar with stakeholders in DoD and NRO space community Location: CO-Colorado Springs
