Provides global network and information security support to the DoD NetOps Community in the areas of services to include site surveys, design, integration, installation, testing, modernization and containment for voice, data, and video systems in both wired, wireless and satellite communications environments. Maintains relationships with existing DoD Net Ops customers in order to assess program, project and pilot satisfaction, identifies potential and actual problem areas, and resolves difficulties and ensures focused future Net Centric operations. Maintains contact with appropriate DoD NetOps communities, IC, Federal Agencies and coalition partners, where appropriate. This opportunity would also entail preparing plans, reports and presentations on the status of current and proposed programs, projects and pilots, reviewing writing and editing technical documents to include CONOPS and TTP's, performing program, project and pilot review and detailed technical analysis, as well as providing technical guidance to include systems engineering support to program, project and pilot architecture and design engineering teams.
Essential skills include:
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 12 to 15 years of related experience in Global Information Grid (GIG) operations and network management and computer network defense development relevant to the DISA community. Candidate must be experience in developing and executing concepts of operations, strategic plans, capture plans and technical (CRD) and operational procedures (TTP). Must be familiar with DISN, to include network installation and expertise of the NIPRNET, SIPERNET, DATMS and GIG-BE networks. This is a relational role, i.e., candidate must have strong GIG architecture and Net Centric architecture knowledge, be very familiar with DISN community in the Washington DC metro area and know how to network with the key decision makers, to include other contractors. Must have familiarity with engineering, customer service and installation support of the DISN, and understand the culture and language.
