Job Description
|
Responsible for performing software engineering solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies including MS SharePoint Portal Server, Windows SharePoint Services, ASP.NET web-based applications, Web Services, MS SQL Server 2000, MS InfoPath 2003, and custom solutions developed using the .NET Framework. Experience implementing MS BizTalk Server solutions is preferred but not required. SharePoint experience developing web parts, administering SharePoint sites, implementing third-party web part technologies to meet customer requirements, and integrating other technologies to co-exist within the SharePoint server environment. Web-based application / web service development will be accomplished utilizing the .NET framework via C# or Visual Basic.NET. Candidates will provide examples of successful migrations from classic ASP applications to ASP.NET applications. Database design and development will be accomplished using SQL Server technology to include Business Intelligence solutions. Experience developing MS InfoPath forms or equivalent XML-enabled forms to integrate with SharePoint and SQL Server. Duties include designing and developing new systems/applications/portals, maintaining and/or providing enhancements to existing systems/applications/portals, and troubleshooting systems/applications to identify and resolve functional deficiencies. As required, provides inputs for documentation or creates documentation for new and/or existing programs.
Requirements
-Position requires a Bachelor degree in a related technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience with five to seven years of related experience developing solutions ranging from raw hand coding to drag-and-drop tools such as MS Visual Studio.
-Work developed using MS Office 2003 products (e.g., Excel, FrontPage, InfoPath, etc.) are also desired.
-Ideal candidate will possess expertise using the Windows platform and the .NET framework.
-Solid understanding of relational database design concepts to include data modeling and normalization.
-Should be knowledgeable coding with most of the following: Visual Basic .NET, C#, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, XPath, SQL, and HTML.
-Familiar with Object Oriented (OO) concepts and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
-Understanding of Net-centric approach to enterprise architecture and project management experience a plus.
-DoD experience beneficial, but not required.
