JOB DUTIES:
Optimize Classified computing environments for AISR 4045
and Proprietary Programs. This includes Windows, Exchange, UNIX/Linux, SAN/NAS, Web, Network, and Firewall administration. Plan, install, administer, maintain & improve delivery systems hardware, software & network components. Provide computing hardware & system software complex problem resolution, capacity & performance analysis, configuration & change planning and execution, security administration, and configuration of engineering applications. Design & implement a multi-layered security architecture for special secured areas. Provide consultation & training to team members, end users & Boeing external customers. Partner with suppliers, users & other IT and AWACS organizations to plan, develop, deploy, administer & sustain computing systems & infrastructure. Work in concert with an engineering team to maintain the development/lab assets as well as design, build and integrate solutions which support a complex set of requirements including Information Assurance. Map and keep account of required data flows between Test System 3 and ground test network. Configure and secure Sidewinder G2 Firewalls. Identify Failover configuration requirements.
JOB SKILLS:
Knowledge of distributed & enterprise computing systems
hardware, software & network systems & components. Applicant must have in-depth experience in UNIX (e.g., Solaris and AIX) and Linux.
SuperComputer knowledge (e.g, Linux Networx, SGI, and Cray) is also required. Windows knowledge is also required. Knowledge of Classified Operations and Procedures is also required. Secret clearance is required and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is also required. Some nation-wide travel may be required. Additional desired skills include:
Shell scripting languages (csh, ksh, bash, tcsh, perl) applicable to both UNIX and VPN applications. Hummingbird Exceed setup and configuration. Experience in Information Assurance is desired. MCSE Certified, CCNA Certified, RHCE Certified, CISSP Desirable. VxWorks troubleshooting and kernel configuration. NetApp Operating System configuration and administration.CIFS/NFS use and setup. NIS/NIS+ use and setup. Terminal Services configuration and use. Knowledge of current standards with respect to networking interfaces. Knowledge of Fiber Channel systems and different RAID levels.
Prefer a bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline and at least 10 years experience in system administration.
